Dexter is one of my favorite shows and I have wanted to create my own t-shirt design for a while. I started off by brainstorming ideas and sketching and I ended up going with the drawing that I have included above. That drawing was then brought into Illustrator and I used image trace to create a rough outline of it and I edited it to my liking. The quote that I added was one that I thought paired well with the illustration and the emotion that seems to be depicted. The typeface that I used for the quote was Uppercut Angle.
The left chest design that I added has a circular blood design because that is how the blood samples would look like once he pressed them onto a blood slide. The typefaces that I used for the text on the left chest were Eurostile and Uppercut Angle.
